About Imogen

Imogen is a skilled printed textile design who loves to produce new and innovative fabrics and prints.

She graduated from Heriot Watt University with a 2:1, BA honours degree in design for textiles and since then she has been working on my own business, working part time in retail and sourcing freelance work.

Imogen enjoys screen printing and have an extremely technical knowledge of the printing processes so could easily carry out design work or consultation work.

She has been solely responsible for creating a look book for a golfing company using her skills in Photoshop and Illustrator and has also had experience of a studio ...

Ideas need to be translated into visuals which help turn an idea into a product. Visualising a concept means you’ll need some or all of these: sketches, illustrations, technical drawings, mood boards, line sheets …etc
Samples are prototypes made to model design ideas and made in order to finalize the pattern for production. Sampling should take place during the first phase of design (R&D) because you can’t get to selling (second phase) if you don’t have production (third phase). There are a few types of samples usually made, the main ones being prototype/toile, 1st sample, sealed/final sample, salesman sample, pre-production sample.
