About JYNX

JYNX was created by Jenny Nix, a Chelsea College of Art and Design MA graduate and who has been producing work for the past two years in her studio.

Jenny's aim is to create sustainable clothing and accessories printed, embellished and created by hand and made in the UK. She mainly uses jersey fabrics to produce her garments but also tries to use discarded and scrap fabric wherever possible. Jenny uses smocking within her work as an embellishment.

Jenny was invited to exhibit at Oslo Fashion Week as a part of their sustainable fashion program. The exhibition was called 'Textiles Waste' and included designers from all over the world....

Ideas need to be translated into visuals which help turn an idea into a product. Visualising a concept means you’ll need some or all of these: sketches, illustrations, technical drawings, mood boards, line sheets …etc
Samples are prototypes made to model design ideas and made in order to finalize the pattern for production. Sampling should take place during the first phase of design (R&D) because you can’t get to selling (second phase) if you don’t have production (third phase). There are a few types of samples usually made, the main ones being prototype/toile, 1st sample, sealed/final sample, salesman sample, pre-production sample.
