About MYB Textiles Ltd

The company Morton Young and Borland Ltd was founded in 1900 in Ayrshire, Scotland, exclusively manufacturing Scottish Leno Gauze weave, later known as Scottish Madras. Soon after, in 1913, the company invested in Nottingham Lace Looms to offer a larger variety of products to its clients and to bring lace making to Scotland. It has been manufacturing these 2 products ever since.

Over the years MYB has invested heavily in developing and modernising the production techniques involved in creating Scottish Lace and Madras.

Ideas need to be translated into visuals which help turn an idea into a product. Visualising a concept means you’ll need some or all of these: sketches, illustrations, technical drawings, mood boards, line sheets …etc
Raw materials is everything and anything used to make your product. These can include fabric, leather, trims, hardware and others. Usually these are either sourced by the designer or by the factory, depending on the process stage.
Production is the process of manufacturing the final product in multiples, based on an order placed by the buyer. Usually, production takes place after Minimum order quantity requirements are met and sample approved and prices agreed.
